Psychosocial Therapy
Free Psychosocial Therapy for Frontline Workers
We provide free psychosocial support to people who sustain life in contexts of high emotional demand: activists, human rights defenders, caregivers, community workers, and other frontline workers.
This program responds to a real and growing need. On one side, people deeply committed to social and environmental causes face intense emotional exhaustion; on the other, therapists around the world are seeking ways to place their skills in service of these realities.
Today, this network includes more than 1,350 volunteer therapists, connected through our digital platform.
A Specialized Methodology for High-Complexity Case
Working with frontline workers requires specific tools and approaches. Many of the situations we support involve chronic trauma, vicarious trauma, threats to life, collective grief, extreme exhaustion, and constant exposure to structural violence.
For this reason, we have developed a custom methodology for selecting and preparing therapists, focused on psychosocial work in complex eco-social contexts.
Therapists in the program:

-
Go through a specific selection process.
-
Have prior clinical training.
-
Receive concrete methodological tools to work with activists and defenders of life.
-
Understand the emotional, ethical, and political dimensions of these cases.
Training and Collaboration with Universities
We have also identified a structural gap in academic training: most psychology and psychotherapy programs do not adequately prepare professionals to accompany suffering linked to social, environmental, and humanitarian crises.
In addition to clinical care, we are developing a training program for therapists that complements their academic education with an eco-social methodology applied to real-world contexts.
We also collaborate with universities by offering learning spaces and internships for graduate students, allowing them to train alongside experienced therapists and acquire these tools through real intervention settings.
A Technological Solution in Service of Care
We developed a digital platform that connects therapists and frontline workers in an ethical, safe, and accessible way.
Through the platform, participants can:

-
Create a personal account.
-
Search for and choose therapists based on language, therapeutic approach, and availability.
-
Manage schedules and sessions.
-
Track their own support process.

Therapists access an environment specifically designed for this type of work and must meet the preparation requirements necessary to support these cases.
Who Is Eligible for This Free Support
This service is 100% free and is intended for people who meet certain criteria, defined through a clear and responsible evaluation process.
We support individuals who:

-
Are actively involved in social, environmental, or humanitarian causes.
-
Have maintained consistent activity over the past 1–2 years.
-
Can provide basic verification of their work (organization, project, collective, or cause).

This methodology allows us to prioritize the most urgent cases and ensure ethical and sustainable use of available resources.
